I started reading Liz Scanlon’s blog posts about gratitude. This is our first “real” Christmas break from school and I now understand what she means by “An emphasis on card games. And naps. And giggling.” We’ve been having such a sweet time with Delilah. I work from home and my husband is a firefighter so our schedules have allowed us time for snuggling, playing and really enjoying our daughter. We’ve let her lounge around in her pajamas all day and rather than take her to every activity I can (which I’ve been known to do), at her request, we’ve stayed close to home. Today starts a busy weekend and I’m excited for all the activity. But it’s nice to know that sometimes just relaxing, being lazy with your child is okay.
