I arrived at Tiffany Harelik’s cute little bungalow on the west side of Austin after observing my daughter’s Spanish class and working my way through afternoon traffic. Tiffany was gracious enough to invite me into her home and squeeze me between appointments to talk about what her topic will be for MomCom Austin. Oh what a story. Of course. Once again, I am in awe of another mother who decided to stop “doing what she’s supposed to do” and take a leap of faith. I’m not going to give too much away but Tiffany is following in her grandfather’s footsteps. A Russian Jew, he came to a new country and started a banana food cart, selling bananas for a penny. She’s often thought of as a foodie but Tiffany considers herself someone who wants to hear and tell the stories of others who are working to realize the American Dream. She’ll tell you more about it at MomCom. Until then please support this wonderful courageous mom by buying her cookbook, The Trailer Food Diaries.
