After all the posters are printed, the ads are submitted and you’ve paid the designer, there is inevitably something that happens to ruin your plans. Or, so you might think at first. Kristin Schell of the Schell Cafe was one of our speakers but due to an important conflict in her schedule, she has had to cancel. Bad news, right? Yes. I feel horrible that she won’t be able to make it.

However, I always put the good with the bad and immediately I contacted Addie Broyles, food writer for the Austin American-Statesman, cool mom and writer at The Feminist Kitchen.  And guess what? She said YES! So I might have to spend some more to reprint and the ads may not be perfect, but Addie Broyles, Austin’s very own foodie celebrity, said yes!

I am so honored to have Addie join the speaking team along with Tiffany Harelik, Wendy Aarons, Laura Pressley, Marissa Vogel and keynote speaker, Sabrina Parsons. Thanks so much to all of you for making MomCom Austin happen.
