Our Story

MomCom is an inspiration and event platform which fosters community and connection between mothers and challenges us to shift the paradigm of work by putting families first. With both educational and social events throughout the year and an annual conference, MomCom is a resource for motivated mothers who are turning their passions into actions.

Established in 2011 as a way for mothers to bond beyond the play date, MomCom is designed to focus on collaboration and support among mothers, no matter their stage of life and if/how they choose to work outside the home. Trish Morrison, the founder of MomCom built it on the belief that we can change the way we do business to accommodate the way we want to live our lives.

For the past two years, MomCom has featured female speakers who have built businesses, written books, published successful blogs, or contributed to the community in their own way – essentially, “ordinary moms” doing extraordinary work. MomCom speakers span all walks of life and every stage of parenting, women who have forgotten about “opting in” or “opting out” of the workplace, but rather have outlined their own course for creative, professional and parenting success.

MomCom Salon – The Space

The photos don’t do the space justice. I visited Laura Shook at Soma Vida yesterday to talk about MomCom Salon and how we’ll work in the space. It’s gorgeous! I’m getting excited! Today is the last day to register for the event at the...
